AUSTIN, Texas — With people still trying to get back on their feet following job losses during the pandemic, KVUE highlights different businesses hiring. This week we spoke with the grassroots organization Austin Justice Coalition and technology company SiteMinder.
We have seen Austin Justice Coalition on the frontlines fighting for equality for Black and Brown people as well as poverty-stricken families. Now the grassroots organization is adding two team members to join its fight.
"We're looking for a deputy director, which is somebody that'll basically help me with all the things I have on my plate," said founder of Austin Justice Coalition Chas Moore. "We're also hiring a development director, somebody that will spend the majority of the time on fundraising, grant writing and planning events."

"We just want to make sure we can bring in somebody that understands the need for the work, somebody that has roots in the community and somebody that they can trust that will fit with the team," said Moore.
SiteMinder, a technology company based out of Australia but building what it calls a virtual hub in Austin, is hiring.
"We're looking for a seasoned salesperson – someone that has done sales in the past, someone that is familiar with SAS technology, specifically in a highly transactional atmosphere is ideal," said SiteMinder human resources and operations manger Cassie Meeks.

"This will offer that opportunity for someone to work from home virtually, but we will want to bring them together," said Meeks. "We'll want to make sure they have opportunities to get training face-to-face and to have some social collaboration among the team."
