AUSTIN, Texas — Talk about the best $5 you'll ever spend.
The Austin Animal Center is bringing back their $5 foot long adoptions. This means that people can adopt animals measuring 12 inches or longer for only $5.
This promotion focuses on longer animals who can often take longer to find forever homes.
“Small dogs, puppies and kittens are relatively easy to find homes for," said Jennifer Olohan, Communications and Media Manager for AAC. "But large dogs come with their own list of benefits, like adventure buddies, bodyguards, and portable heaters for these chilly nights."
There are hundreds of animals at AAC that qualify for the $5 foot long promotion, so head on over to their location at 7201 Levander Loop. The event will begin Thursday and end Monday.
