AUSTIN, Texas — One person is in the hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Downtown Austin.
Austin police tweeted just after 1 a.m. Saturday that officers were on the scene of a shooting in the 500 block of Neches Street, near Sixth Street and Interstate 35. According to our partners at the Austin American-Statesman, emergency responders said the shooting occurred at Cielo Nightclub.
Police said one person was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and that a juvenile suspect is in custody.
Just before 2:40 a.m., police said the scene had been cleared but that the investigation into the incident continues. At that time, the victim was listed in "serious condition."
