Alleged intoxicated man arrested after crashing into patrol car of officers arresting woman for DWI

San Marcos police officers said they were arresting a woman for DWI when a man crashed into the rear of their patrol car.

SAN MARCOS, Texas — A man was arrested for intoxication assault on a peace officer after he crashed his car into the rear of a patrol car while officers were arresting a woman for DWI.

Police said in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Mar. 6, officers arrested Breanna Kilgore, 24, for driving while intoxicated.

After arresting Kilgore, police said they placed her in the back seat of a patrol car, with her seat belt on, when a second vehicle crashed into the rear of the car while officers were still outside of the vehicle.

An alleged intoxicated man crashed into a police car while officers arrested a woman for driving while intoxicated.

Both San Marcos Police Department officers suffered non-life threatening injuries and Kilgore was uninjured, according to police.

The driver that struck the police car was Zachary Adams, 21.

Adams was arrested on the charge of intoxication assault on a peace officer.

Kilgore has been released on a $2,500 bond, but Adams is being held at the Hays County Jail waiting for a judge to set his bond.
