Austin Police seeks the public's help in identifying the person accused of murdering a man in Central East Austin June 16.

Wednesday afternoon, Authorities released surveillance footage of the suspect police said shot Gerald Williams, 23, multiple times in the 5800 block of Sweeny Circle at 3:00 a.m.

Police said the suspect is a tall black man in his mid-20s to early 30s. At the time of the alleged murder, he was wearing a black t-shirt and long shorts.

Officials said they would like to speak with anyone who might have seen suspicious activity or a physical altercation at the time of the crime.
