A man has been arrested after he allegedly crashed his car, carjacked the victim’s vehicle, jumped on the windshield of another car and broke it, then climbed on top of a school bus in northeast Austin.

According to an affidavit obtained by KVUE, 43-year-old Marvin Keith Deonn Williams hit a woman’s car from behind in the center median near the intersection of East Howard Lane and Center Lake Drive on Oct. 11.

The victim told police Williams then got out of the car and fled on foot before trying to carjack another vehicle at the intersection. That driver had locked his vehicle doors and Williams was unsuccessful, the affidavit said.

Williams then reportedly walked back to the scene of the crash as the woman stood outside her opened car door. She claims Williams walked up to her and physically assaulted her, forcing his way into the driver’s seat. He then took the victim’s vehicle and sped off eastbound on East Howard Lane.

Williams then abandoned the victim’s damaged stolen vehicle a few blocks away, according to the affidavit. He then hopped on the hood of another car and intentionally jumped on the windshield, causing it to break, police said. The victim from that car told police Williams then ran up to and in front of a school bus at an intersection, before climbing on top of it.

He was detained by responding officers while still on top of the school bus, the documents said.

Williams was booked into Travis County Jail on a $2,750 bond. He was charged with accident involving personal injury or death, a third-degree felony, as well as theft from person, a state jail felony.
