AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for the public's help identifying a man they say stole beer from a convenience store, then hit a motorcyclist and kept driving on West Parmer Lane in North Austin.

APD said the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, in the 1200 block of West Parmer Lane, not too far from Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park.

Police said the suspect allegedly stole beer from a 7-Eleven on West Parmer before getting into his vehicle. The suspect then allegedly hit a motorcyclist, causing them to crash and sustain non-life-threatening injuries. After that, police said the suspect continued driving on West Parmer, in the eastbound lanes, before turning onto Scofield Farms Drive.

The suspect, pictured below, is described as being in his early 20s to early 30s. He has a thin build and is of short to average height, according to police. His vehicle is a black or dark-colored, four-door sedan.
