AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is looking for a driver involved in a racing incident that resulted in one death in northwest Austin in late October.
DPS said the incident occurred on Oct. 22, at approximately 3:37 p.m., near the intersection of West Parmer Lane and McNeil Drive, not far from McNeil High School.
A black Tesla and a BMW were seen racing and driving recklessly, according to DPS. As a result, the Tesla crashed and its driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS troopers are now trying to find the driver of the BMW, who they said fled the scene.
