AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are investigating a shooting that happened early Monday morning in downtown.
Police said the shooting happened just after 3 a.m. on East Seventh Street near the ARCH. Police responded to an incident involving a knife nearby when they heard gunshots.
The APD said when officers arrived to the scene, they found two people with gunshot wounds. One of those two victims was taken to the hospital, police said.
Police said they believe the victims were bystanders and an argument involving other people led up to shots being fired into a crowd. The APD said no arrests have been made.
No further information was immediately available. Anyone with information about the incident are asked to call police.
