BURNET COUNTY, Texas — An investigation is ongoing after a burned body was found in Burnet County.
According to the Burnet County Sheriff's Office, a passerby discovered the body on Christmas Day along County Road 203.
Officials told KVUE that the body was discovered next to a vehicle in a driveway off the road. Details are limited, but the sheriff's office said investigators believe the body is a woman from the Cedar Park area. They won't know for sure until an autopsy positively identifies the person.
The Texas Rangers and the Burnet County Fire Marshal's Office are assisting with the investigation.
