AUSTIN, Texas — Two people, including a child, were seriously injured following a shooting in South Austin.
The shooting happened Monday just after 5:30 p.m. as two vehicles drove along West Ben White Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victims were driving eastbound when they were cut off by a dark gray Volkswagen sedan with two men inside.
Police said the passenger of the Volkswagen then fired several gunshots into the victim's vehicle, hitting the child in the head and the adult in the chest. Both the child and adult were taken to the hospital with serious injuries and remain in stable but unknown condition.
Both suspects were described as men in their early 20s with thin builds.
