AUSTIN, Texas — Nearly half a million dollars’ worth of cocaine is off the street thanks to the Fayette County Sheriff's K-9 unit.
Sgt. Randy Thumann and his K-9 partner, Kolt, stopped a silver Nissan Altima on Interstate 10 for a traffic violation on Saturday around 11:55 a.m.
Kolt did a sweep of the vehicle and found 12 kilograms of cocaine under the car. That's an estimated street value of $480,000 concealed in an exhaust tunnel.
The driver was arrested for felony drug possession.
