AUSTIN -- Police have arrested an ex-employee at First Texas Honda for allegedly putting a video camera in the women's bathroom.
According to an arrest affidavit, on May 1, a small video camera was found inside the women's bathroom in a potted plant, facing toward the toilet.
The general manager at First Texas Honda, which is on Steck Avenue, said his technology staff reviewed surveillance footage and saw an ex-employee, 27-year-old Ahmad Golshani, had entered and exited the women's bathroom on three separate days, including the day the video camera was found. The manager said Golshani was the only man that had entered the women's bathroom during the time period.
Investigators found more than 30 recordings of women using the bathroom on the camera. Investigators also found a recording of a man setting up the video camera, who police later identified as Golshani.
Golshani is charged with improper photography or visual recording, a state jail felony.
