LAKEWAY, Texas — A man remains in the Travis County Jail following an apparent road rage incident at an H-E-B in Lakeway.

According to an affidavit obtained by KVUE, 34-year-old Tadge Avery Davis was arrested Monday night while trying to run from police outside the H-E-B on Ranch Road.

A store employee told police that he saw Davis and another driver get into an argument in the parking lot when Davis pulled out a revolver-style handgun and showed it to the other driver. Davis allegedly told the other driver, "You wanna get out and get shot in the parking lot," before the driver took off.

As Davis walked out of the store, the manager told police that Davis had a gun on him as he walked to his motorcycle, which matched the description of the motorcycle involved in the road rage incident.

The affidavit said that Davis tried running from police before he tripped and fell to the ground. After a tussle with police, five officers eventually got Davis in custody. Officers also found a gun in his waistband that Davis claimed was not his, according to the affidavit.

Davis now faces several charges in the incident, including terroristic threat. He's currently being held in jail on bonds totaling more than $16,000. Lakeway police said Davis has a criminal history with five convictions across Travis and Bexar counties.

Meanwhile, police also said one of their officers broke her ankle during the tussle with Davis.
