Kyle teen arrested, charged with murder in connection to drug-related homicide, police say

The incident occurred on Dusky Thrush Drive early Saturday morning.

KYLE, Texas — The Kyle Police Department is investigating a drug-related homicide that occurred on Dusky Thrush Drive early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a report of a gunshot in the 100 block of Dusky Thrush Drive at approximately 1:50 a.m. Saturday. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the body of 19-year-old Christopher L. Trevino.

The alleged shooter – later identified as a 15-year-old male from Kyle – fled the scene prior to officers' arrival, but investigators were able to locate him a short while later at an apartment complex. 

He has been processed into the Hays County Juvenile Detention Center on multiple charges including murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, deadly conduct, unlawful carry of a weapon and illegal discharge of a firearm.

This investigation is ongoing. No additional information is available at this time.
