Edgar Alejandro Barahona, 22, was found guilty in the deaths of Juan Carlos Villatoro and Heliodoro Arias Flores.

AUSTIN, Texas — A 22-year old man has been convicted of murder in connection with a 2022 shooting that left two people dead in North Austin.

Edgar Alejandro Barahona was convicted on May 13. The following day, he was sentenced to 35 years in prison for each murder count, to be served concurrently.

Barahona was originally indicted for the murders in April 2022 and was re-indicted on the same two counts this past March.

In January 2022, the Austin Police Department reported two men were found shot in the parking lot of the sports bar Ojos Locos, located at 7522 North Interstate 35.
