AUSTIN, Texas — A man was arrested on Thursday after police said he "exposed himself" to a woman at a bus stop and then threatened to stab someone who confronted him about it, police said.
According to court documents, Alexander Treichel approached a woman at a nearby bus stop, rubbed her back, grabbed her butt and then "exposed himself" to her. When a man who was standing nearby confronted Treichel, the suspect then threatened to stab the man in the neck, according to an arrest affidavit. The suspect did not display a knife during the threat, but the man backed away from the suspect in fear of being harmed, the affidavit said.
Court documents said the woman got on the first bus that came to the bus stop and Treichel walked away before entering the Austin Public Library.
When police arrived at the scene, officers saw Treichel leaving the library and began speaking with him. Officers detained and frisked Treichel, where they found a knife in his front right pocket, according to the affidavit.
Treichel has been charged with indecent exposure and terroristic threat, police said.
