AUSTIN, Texas — Police say a man was shot to death late Thursday night in southeast Austin.
At around 10 p.m. Thursday, officers with the Austin Police Department (APD) responded to the Estates at East Riverside apartment complex, located on Crossing Place in the Pleasant Valley area.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot inside one of the apartments. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made, but APD said the suspect and the victim knew each other. There is no active threat to the public, according to police. APD says this is Austin's 55th homicide of the year.
