AUSTIN, Texas — One man has been arrested and police are searching for another suspect after an armed home invasion in Manor in early July.

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), Austin 911 operators received a call reporting two people with their faces covered armed outside a home in the 11200 block of Charger Way in Manor at around 11:30 p.m. on July 5. Police say the callers were notified of the two suspects after they were picked up by a Ring doorbell camera.

The suspects blocked the camera's view and forced their way into the home. They fled the scene in a vehicle after coming into contact with a resident of the property who was armed.

No injuries were reported in the incident. When APD arrived, the suspects were not found in the area near the house.

APD have arrested Christopher Gutierrez and charged him with Burglary of Habitation and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Police are still searching for the other suspect.

The investigation is still ongoing.
