MANOR, Texas — Manor police have arrested a man following a deadly shooting in a Walmart parking lot early Thursday morning.
Juan Acuna-Gaona, 25, was arrested after police spent the day investigating the shooting.
The Manor Police Department said the incident happened just before 4 a.m. in the parking lot of the Walmart located at 11923 E. US 290.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found 19-year-old Luis Frias-Hernandez with apparent gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police said this shooting is being investigated as an isolated incident, and detectives do not believe there is any danger to the public. Police said they were able to view security footage from the Walmart, which caught some of the incident on camera. That footage helped them figure out that this was an isolated incident.
According to police, Acuna-Gaona was arrested without incident and is expected to be charged with first-degree murder.
