Austin police looking for man accused of stealing mail from Mueller apartment complex

The mail theft occurred at the AMLI on Aldrich apartments, located at 2401 Aldrich St.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for the public's help in locating a man accused of stealing mail from Mueller residents.

APD said just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, a man entered the mail room at the AMLI on Aldrich apartments, located at 2401 Aldrich St. He then used a mail master key to open all the mailboxes and stole a large amount of mail.

Police describe the suspect as a man in his 20s who was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, Nike gray tennis shoes and a pink beanie hat.

Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to submit a tip through Capital Area Crime Stoppers either online or by calling 512-472-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous, and a reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
