N. Austin murder suspect arrested after SWAT standoff

Austin police arrested the man accused of shooting a 25-year-old man to death in North Austin June 25.

Austin police arrested the man accused of shooting a 25-year-old man to death in North Austin June 25.

Officials said in a release Thursday, Bradford Gunn, 29, was taken into custody after a SWAT standoff on Sugar Hill Drive near West Slaughter Lane Tuesday. He's charged with first-degree felony murder in connection with the shooting death of Jose Angel Moreno.

Jose Angel Moreno was found with gunshot wounds during the early morning hours of June 25.

Police said they found Moreno nearly lifeless, lying in a pool of blood on the 9000 block of North IH 35 service road near Rundberg lane early Saturday morning.

After an autopsy was performed, the Travis County Sheriff's Office ruled Moreno's death a homicide.

Gunn is being held in the Travis County jail with bond set at $500,000.
