AUSTIN, Texas — Officials with Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) report that an accidental incident involving a gun occurred at a Walmart in South Austin on Sunday.
ATCEMS said it received a call just after 4:15 p.m. initially regarding someone suffering from a gunshot wound at the Walmart located in Southpark Meadows.
When medics arrived on the scene, they located a person suffering from a minor injury that was not a gunshot wound. It is unclear what the person's injury is, but ATCEMS said the person refused to be taken to the hospital.
According to Austin police, the shooting call came after a gun accidentally went off inside the store.
