Teen arrested, charged with robbing Pflugerville High School student outside library

Vincent Jamal Roberson has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated robbery.

AUSTIN, Texas — A 17-year-old has been arrested after being involved in a robbery of a Pflugerville High School student outside the Pflugerville Library earlier this month.

Court documents show that the Pflugerville Police Department (PPD) responded to a report of a physical disturbance outside the Pflugerville Library at 1008 Pfluger St. West on Dec. 14.

According to the documents, the victim was walking back to Pflugerville High School when a white Dodge Durango SUV approached him. Two males exited the vehicle and one pointed a gun at him, demanding he surrender his backpack. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 17-year-old Vincent Jamal Roberson.

A brief fight ensued before Roberson and the other passenger fled the scene.

Roberson then crashed the SUV and was arrested by police. It was determined that the vehicle the two were riding in had been stolen via carjacking earlier in the day.

Roberson was also allegedly involved in a number of other robberies that occurred throughout Austin and Pflugerville earlier in the day.

Roberson has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated robbery and one charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.
