Police seeking Sun City home invasion, robbery suspect

The man is accused of binding a husband and wife together and stealing their belongings as they were unloading groceries.

GEORGETOWN, Texas — The Georgetown Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man accused of robbing a husband and wife as they were unloading groceries at their Sun City home.

Police responded to their home on Whispering Wind Drive around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 20. The wife reported they had just returned home from the grocery store when a man approached her and demanded jewelry after entering through the garage and displaying a handgun. She reported he then bound her and her husband together, took several items of value and fled the scene in a white Cadillac.

The suspect was described as a black male, dark-skinned, long face, eyes set far apart, slim build, approximately 6’1”, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants.

Police said they are investigating the incident and are taking it very seriously. Anyone with more information or security footage from that time period is asked to call police at 512-930-2746.

At this time, police are asking for increased community vigilance. Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately.
