SAN MARCOS, Texas – A second man being sought by authorities in a fatal shooting in the early hours of Oct. 2 has surrendered to authorities.

Police said 22-year-old Johnathan Ivan Alonzo Guia surrendered to authorities at the Hays County Government Center at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. He was wanted in connection to a shooting during a botched drug deal that killed Isaac Olvera.

Bryan Martinez, 19, has also been arrested for his alleged role in Olvera's death. Police believe Martinez was the shooter in the incident, but witnesses told police that Guia showed a handgun during the incident.

Police said officers found Olvera shot in the abdomen around 2:30 a.m. when they responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1300 block of Thorpe Lane. Olvera died at Seton-Kyle Hospital from his injuries.

Witnesses told police there was a drug deal taking place at the time of the shooting.
