ROUND ROCK, Texas — A juvenile has been charged with manslaughter following a deadly New Year's Day shooting near Round Rock.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called out to Arezzo Drive just before 9 a.m. Monday after reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, deputies found Aundair Bowser, a 17-year-old from Austin, dead at the scene. Officials called the death suspicious but were able to determine there was no immediate threat to the public.
"It's terrifying yesterday. My kids wanted to go outside, while there are cops outside telling us to stay inside, something bad happened," a neighbor named Robin told KVUE. "We have to stay safe inside and they didn't understand. I cannot tell them too much, but I got to protect them also."

Robin said she's lived off Arezzo Drive for a few years and was surprised something like this could happen in their normally quiet area.
"I have never been close to a situation like this before. That was very usual," she said. "Heartbreaking. I cannot imagine how the family feels."
Investigators are still looking into what led up to the shooting but did say since the suspect is underage, their name will not be released.
