TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — The man accused of killing another man near Wells Branch has been arrested, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office.
An affidavit obtained by KVUE identified 32-year-old George Nickerius Nolden, from Waco, as the suspect in Sunday night's deadly shooting along Wells Branch Parkway near I-35.
Nolden allegedly flagged down a sheriff's office deputy while he was standing next to a red Nissan Sentra that was blocking the lanes of traffic. Nolden then walked up to the deputy and asked to be handcuffed and detained.
The affidavit says the deputy noticed blood on Nolden's pants, which led to Nolden telling the deputy that he shot someone who was in the back seat of the Nissan.
