TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas – Three men were arrested Dec. 9, believed to be behind a series of armed robberies in Travis and Bastrop Counties.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office said 24-year-old Ryan Carson, 20-year-old Dustin Clark and 19-year-old Cedric McClain, all of Round Rock, were arrested around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies were called to the Quick and Save along the 1000 block of Pace Bend Road around 9:15 p.m. Dec. 9 for reports of an armed robbery. The victim told authorities two suspects and a driver, wearing hoodies, masks and gloves and armed with handguns, left in a black, four-door Dodge Charger northbound on Pace Bend Road.

Lakeway police reported spotting the Dodge driving through the city and stopped it along the 3100 block of Lakeway Boulevard. Deputies arrived, took the suspects into custody and impounded the car.

Sheriff's detectives are continuing the investigation, and believe the three are the same men behind four other robberies in Travis County in the last week and the robbery of stores in Lakeway, Elgin and Bastrop in November.

According to an affidavit released Dec. 28, Carson is connected to an aggravated robbery that took place in Taylor. Clark and McClain may also be connected.

Carson, Clark and McClain remain in the Travis County Jail. The sheriff's office said they are expected to be charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Carson and McClain have reportedly confessed to their part in the robbery, according to the arrest affidavits. Clark denied any knowledge of the robberies but admitted to driving a Dodge Charger that was used during the robberies, according to the arrest affidavits.
