How to resolve outstanding warrants, citations in Austin without getting arrested

More than 2,300 outstanding warrants and delinquent citations were cleared in 2023 through the program.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin has relaunched its Warrant Amnesty program for 2024.

The program allows those with unpaid citations or outstanding warrants a chance to resolve their cases without fear of getting arrested.

From now until April 19, officers will not be sent to make any arrests. Those who voluntarily show up to any municipal or community court location will also not be taken into custody.

Resolution options include payment plans, community service and hardship waivers for those who qualify. Spanish interpreters will also be available, and all services are provided for free.
