Dell Match Play took part in the SXSW festivities with a preview party

Daily passes will be an option for fans to purchase this year.

AUSTIN, Texas — Dell Technologies and the Dell Match Play teamed up to take part in the South by Southwest (SXSW) festivities by hosting a part in the thick of SXSW Tuesday afternoon at the Sunset Room.

From local food options, which will be served by vendors at Austin Country Club during Dell Match Play to a musician, those who attended sampled an appetizer of what the 2019 WGC Dell Match Play will include.

Dell Match Play tournament director Jordan Uplegger discussed the partnership with Dell Technologies and the increased demand for tickets to the week-long event later this month.

"We heard from our fans last year; we only sold a weekly ticket to the tournament," said Uplegger. "This year, we're offering a daily pass and we've received really good feedback."

There is a chance that Tiger Woods may make his first appearance at Dell Match Play and commit to the tournament as one of the top 64 in the world. Last week Woods withdrew from the Arnold Palmer Invitational due to a neck injury.

Earlier on Tuesday in a press conference from The Player's Championship in Florida, Tiger was asked about committing to Dell Match Play, "We'll see how it goes," said Woods.

"We would love Tiger Woods to come to Austin Country Club and compete," said Uplegger. "We know that he likes to compete at major championships; we know he likes to compete at World Golf Championships."

Woods has won 18 World Golf Championships. He has until 5 p.m. on Friday to commit to the Dell Match Play.

The 2019 WGC Dell Match Play begins pool play on Wednesday, March 27 at Austin Country Club. The tournament concludes on Sunday, March 31.
