A diver drowned at Lake Travis on Thursday. EMS were not able to revive the man.

AUSTIN, Texas — A man who died Thursday diving in Lake Travis has been named by police.

Sebastian Medina-Page, 38, of Round Rock failed to resurface in the Hurst Creek Arm area of the lake. Police say he was recovered by people in the area and CPR was conducted. The man died at the scene.

Medina-Page was a project manager and diver working underwater to repair a broken pump for a private residence.

TCSO says it is investigating the death, but early evidence suggests a tangle in the line the man was tethered to was the cause.

A final ruling will be made once all evidence is processed and the Medical Examiner’s report is finalized.
