ROUND ROCK, Texas — The Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) announced Monday its new policy that will provide free and reduced-priced meals for students under the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs.
According to RRISD, it will use the 2018-2019 Income Eligibility Guidelines to determine who is eligible for the new lunch policy. Children from a household whose income is at or below the level shown are eligible for benefits. Foster students who fall under the responsibility of a welfare agency or court may also be eligible for benefits, RRISD said.
Applications are being sent to households with information regarding the availability of free and reduced-priced meals.
To apply for the new lunch policy, households must fill out the paper applications and return it to the school or complete the form online here.
