PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — An all-clear has been given following a scary incident in Pflugerville.
Police say the Primrose School of Pflugerville at Falcon Pointe had to be placed on lockdown Tuesday morning after a former employee gained access to the school.
It's unclear how the employee gained access to the school, but police said the person appeared to be having a mental health crisis when officers arrived.
The former employee was unarmed and detained before being transported for treatment.

"There is no greater priority than ensuring the safety and security of everyone who enters our school. Foundational to this is our Safe School Plan, which ensures our teachers and staff are prepared to quickly and effectively respond to a broad range of emergency situations.
We are grateful for the quick actions of our staff, as well as the response of the Pflugerville Police Department in swiftly resolving this incident. We are continuing to partner with local authorities to maintain the safety and security of our school.
At this time, our school is open, and our focus remains on maintaining a normal routine for the children entrusted to our care. We are also evaluating what additional measures, if any, can be taken to further reinforce the security of our school."
