As a result of the ice storm and power outages, schools across the area canceled activities and classes.
On Sunday, the Austin Transportation Department said crews were checking all 500+ school zone signals across the city as students and families prepare for classes on Monday. Outages should be reported to 311.

Austin Community College remains closed through Thursday. The school will reopen campuses on a normal schedule on Friday.
The South Austin Campus will remain closed on Saturday due to ongoing power outages. All other campuses have power restored. All on-campus classes, work and activities at the South Austin Campus are canceled for Saturday.
All Austin ISD schools and offices were on Thursday and Friday. Officials said that the "campuses remain unsafe, and thousands of our staff and families are still without power."
At 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, Austin ISD said all but two district schools – Hill Elementary and Perez Elementary – had power and were ready for school on Monday, Feb. 6.
On Monday evening, Feb. 6, Austin ISD said all schools had power and classes would go ahead as normal at all campuses on Tuesday.
Austin International School will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Bastrop ISD has canceled school on Tuesday and Wednesday. STARS will also be closed.
The district will continue to monitor weather and any adjustments for Thursday will be posted on social media and the district's website, as well as sent out via the district's communication system by text message and email.
Blanco ISD classes have been canceled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as have all after school activities.
All Burnet CISD will resume normal operations on Friday, Feb. 3.
Chaparral Star Academy will remain closed through Friday.
Cedars International Academy has canceled all classes for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Community Montessori School in Georgetown will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Concordia University Texas has canceled all evening classes and activities for Monday, and all in-person classes and activities are canceled for Friday.
The dining hall, residential halls, gym and student development center will remain open with student services such as Student Central and the writing, math and speaking centers available online.

All Del Valle ISD schools and offices will remain closed through Friday.
Dime Box ISD has canceled all classes on Tuesday and Wednesday. The district will have a two-hour delay on Thursday, and buses will run two hours later than normal.
Dripping Springs ISD has canceled classes for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and all district offices will also be closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Normal operations are expected to resume on Friday.
All Eanes ISD schools, offices and child care centers will remain closed through Friday.

All Georgetown ISD campuses and facilities will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There will be a two-hour delay for Friday, Feb. 3, but classes will resume.
Giddings ISD will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the inclement weather.
Granger ISD said it is working with local officials to monitor current weather conditions.
All Central Texas Harmony Public Schools and offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Classes are expected to resume on Monday, Feb. 6.

All Hays CISD offices and schools will return to normal schedules on Friday, Feb. 3. Officials say roads are clear and all buidlings have power.
The Headwaters School will remain closed on Friday, Feb. 3 "due to continued power outages throughout the area and clean-up efforts on our campuses."

Texas State University's main campus in San Marcos and Round Rock campus will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 31, and Wednesday, Feb. 1. Both campuses will delay opening until noon on Thursday.

Due to the threat of icy road conditions, The University of Texas at Austin will close its Austin facilities on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. All classes and events are canceled. UT shuttle buses will not run.
