AUSTIN, Texas — Michael Dell is set to deliver the keynote address at The University of Texas at Austin's 136th spring commencement ceremony.
The chairman and chief executive officer of Dell Technologies has made several contributions to the university since he was a student there.
"Michael has continually invested in the future of UT students and the university's mission, most notably in helping launch the Dell Medical School," said President Gregory L. Fenves.
Dell attended UT in the 80s and founded the Dell Computer Corporation in 1984. In 2016, he transformed his company into the largest technology deal in history.

"I'm honored to join the Class of 2019 on their big day," said Dell.
Dell and his wife, Susan, created the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in 1999, which has provided $135 million to UT.
"I look forward to comparing notes from my time at UT, as well as sharing my thoughts about how we can bring technology into balance with our humanity," said Dell.
The ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the university's South Mall. There will be a commencement concert by members of the university's Chamber Singer, Concert Chorale and Wind Ensemble after the ceremony.
