AUSTIN — The University of Texas Tower lights were not lit Monday and many are wondering why.
In many cases, the tower is darkened to memorialize an important death. However, that is not the case this time around.

According to UT's website, the lights on all four sides of the tower have been taken out of service from as part of the Main Building roofing project. The tower will be out of service until Jan. 17.
