Regular watchers of the A&E network's show "Nightwatch" will get a glimpse into the life of some of Austin's local heroes -- the staff at Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services -- in a new spin-off series.
ATCEMS said some medics will appear on the season premiere of "Nightwatch" on Aug. 2 in the episode titled "First Responders." Then on Aug. 16, ATCEMS will be on full display with other EMTs from Yonkers, New York, Tucson, Arizona and Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the new docu-series "Nightwatch Nation," which follows first responders as they deal with uncommon situations and life-threatening environments.
According to Deadline, one of the Austin scenarios will feature a six-car pile-up that requires multiple ambulances.
"Nightwatch Presents: First Responders" premieres at 9:30 p.m. CST on Thursday, Aug. 2, and "Nightwatch Nation: premieres on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 9 p.m. CST.
The 10 episode series for "Nightwatch Nation" will run through mid-October.
