COVID-19 numbers:
- Texas:
- More than 5.2 million cases have been reported in the state, and around 79,400 people in Texas have died, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Central Texas counties:
- Austin-Travis County: The seven-day moving average for new hospital admissions is 61, and an average of 508 people are hospitalized. The community transmission rate is 497.7 (high) and the positivity rate is 22.4%. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 181,202 cases have been reported and at least 1,281 people have died.
- Hays County: There are currently 5,812 active cases, and 29 people are currently hospitalized. Since the beginning of the pandemic, at least 49,563 confirmed cases have been reported and at least 459 people have died.
- Williamson County: There are 233 new cases of coronavirus in Williamson County. Eleven percent of hospital beds are available, and 8% of ICU beds are available. Since the beginning of the pandemic, at least 107,134 cases have been reported and at least 817 people have died.

Updates:
5:20 p.m. – Hays County reported five more COVID-19 deaths on Monday – a man in his 50s from Dripping Springs, a woman in her 70s from Dripping Springs, a woman in her 50s from Kyle, a man in his 80s from Kyle and a man in his 60s from San Marcos. Health officials also reported 1,010 new confirmed cases along with 21 new hospitalizations and 22 new hospital discharges. There are 2,327 additional people considered recovered.
5:15 p.m. – One staff member at the Giddings State School tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning, the Texas Juvenile Justice Department said.
At this time, TJJD has 15 active cases across its facilities (nine staff and six youth).
5:10 p.m. – Travis County reported five more COVID-19 deaths on Monday along with 1,050 new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 181,202 cases and 1,281 deaths since the start of the pandemic. At least 176,970 people have recovered from the virus.
Travis County currently has 431 people hospitalized with COVID-19, with 121 in the ICU and 58 on ventilators.
