AUSTIN, Texas — After all Power Five conferences canceled their postseason basketball tournaments due to coronavirus concerns, many football programs have begun to cancel their spring practices, spring games and recruiting visits.
Schools like Ohio State and Michigan have already pulled the plug.
Schools across the Big 12 are reportedly meeting Thursday afternoon to address their course of action.
Texas football's spring practices were scheduled to start March 24, but that will likely change after the university opted to extend spring break to two weeks.
No update has been given on the status of the Longhorns' spring game, which is currently in place for April 25 at 6:30 p.m.
