AUSTIN, Texas — U.S. 183 southbound at McKinney Falls Parkway was down to one lane as Austin Fire Department (AFD) crews battled a house garage fire on Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were on the scene at 4302 S. U.S. 183 – near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport – battling the fire with extension to a house, AFD said around 5 p.m.
The Austin Police Department said its officers were also on the scene at U.S. 183 and Norwood Lane.
In an update around 5:45 p.m., AFD said the fire was under control. Crews were remaining on the scene to check for hot spots.
No injuries were reported and all residents were evacuated safely.
