AUSTIN — Texans are one week away from the start of early voting in the 2018 Primary Run-Off Election.
During the March Primary, voters in the state’s 46th District sent the message they’re looking for new leadership. Rep. Dawnna Dukes, who was sworn in back in 1997, failed to get a majority of the vote, or even advance to a runoff.
Former City of Austin Mayor Pro-Tem Sheryl Cole and Attorney Chito Vela are now facing-off to represent the district which includes parts of East Austin, Pflugerville and Manor.
To help voters decide which candidate they want to support, KVUE News hosted a debate with Cole and Vela, Thursday, May 10 at 2 p.m.
