AUSTIN, Texas — Two people are dead after a fiery crash in North Austin on Saturday morning.
The crash happened in the 8400 block of Research Boulevard, near US 183 and Ohlen Road, at around 11:45 a.m., according to Austin-Travis County EMS (ACEMS). Two people were pronounced dead on the scene.
ATCEMS said a single vehicle struck a fixed object.
ATCEMS medics, along with Austin Fire Department (AFD) crews and Austin police, responded to the scene. As of around 12 p.m., the fire was under control, AFD said.
Drivers were told to expect delays in the area.
