9 people hospitalized after crash near Mustang Ridge

At least one adult was taken to Ascension Seton Hays with potentially life-threatening injuries.

AUSTIN, Texas — Nine people were taken to the hospital after a crash near Mustang Ridge Sunday night.

Officials with Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) reported that the crash occurred just before 8:45 p.m. on FM 1327, near the intersection with U.S. 183. The Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) and Travis County STAR Flight also responded to the scene.

One of the people involved in the accident was trapped and had to be rescued by first responders. Two adult patients were taken to Ascension Seton Hays and Dell Seton, respectively, both with life-threatening injuries.

A minor patient was taken to Dell Children's with serious injuries. The remainder of those involved in the crash are considered to have non-life threatening injuries.

In total, four patients were taken to St. David's South, three were taken to Ascension Seton Hays, one was taken to Dell Seton and one was taken to Dell Children's.
