Man arrested in Hutto wanted for capital murder charges in Alabama

AUSTIN, Texas — Members of the U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a man in Hutto wanted for capital murder in Alabama.

A warrant was issued for 32-year-old Bennie Humphrey of Montgomery, Ala. on two counts of capital murder on Oct. 25 by the District Court of Montgomery County.

Members of the Birmingham, Ala.-based Gulf Coast Regional Task Force discovered that Humphrey may have been headed toward Hutto, and requested assistance from the Austin-based Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to locate and arrest him.

Humphrey was arrested in the 6500 block of County Road 110 and was subsequently booked into the Williamson County Jail, although he will soon be extradited.
