Austin police searching for 70-year-old woman missing since Monday morning

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 70-year-old woman missing since Monday morning.

Anne Ringold was last seen walking eastbound in the 100 block of Sandra Muraida Way in Downtown Austin at approximately 11:09 a.m. Ringold regularly walks in the area with a wheeled cart, APD said. She was last seen with her cart and a black bag.

Police have concerns for her immediate welfare.

Ringold is described as 4 feet, 11 inches in height and 90 pounds, with straight, short brown hair. She has a large zipper scar down her torso.

Ringold was last seen wearing a face mask, a white or tan bucket hat, a plaid shirt, light blue jeans and brown shoes.

Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact APD’s Missing Persons Unit at 512-974-5250.
