AUSTIN, Texas — First responders recovered a body from Lake Austin Sunday evening.
The Austin Police Department (APD) said at around 5:45 p.m., officers responded a welfare check call in the part of the lake under the Pennybacker Bridge.
When APD Lake Patrol officers arrived, they found a deceased person. Detectives then responded to process the scene.
APD said based on the preliminary investigation, this death is not being investigated as a homicide.
