Austin police searching for man who hasn't been seen for nearly a month

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for the public's help in finding a 33-year-old man who has been missing for nearly a month.

APD said on July 1 that Austin Harrison, 33, was last seen on Monday, June 3, at around noon in the 500 block of Pleasant Valley Road. According to police, Harrison is known to spend time at "Secret Beach," along the Colorado River, near South Pleasant Valley Road.

Police said Harrison left on his own accord, but he has not made his usual contact with his family. There is concern for his safety and immediate welfare.

Harrison is described as being 6 foot, 6 inches tall and 185 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes and has a tattoo of a sun on his left shoulder and other tattoos on his chest and stomach. He was last seen wearing maroon shorts, a light red button-up shirt and Birkenstock sandals.

If you see Harrison, you are asked to call 911 immediately or call APD's Missing Persons Unit at 512-974-5250.
