A new study says Austin is the best place to live in the United States.
But we didn't need a study to tell us that.
Each year, U.S. News & World Report releases a list of the best places to live in America. Business Insider published the full list Feb. 24.
U.S. News ranks the best cities based off of five metrics: Job market, value, quality of life, desirability and net migration. Based on that criteria, Austin, Texas, is the best place to live for 2017, according to U.S. News. Denver comes in second.
Due to Austin's "music, outdoor spaces, and cultural institutions," the article said Austin gains about 50 new residents daily. And with an average annual salary of $49,560 and a "7.3" on the "quality of life" scale, Austin's population is nearly 2 million.
