AUSTIN -- Ever wondered what the most hipster city in the world was? You've probably never heard of it.
And if you thought the tattooed, flannel-wearing, coffee-sipping people of Austin would help the city top the list, you're sadly mistaken. According to MoveHub, Austin is only the 55th most-hipster city on the planet.
The international relocation site created its "Hipster Index" using five data points: vegan eateries, coffee shops, tattoo studios and vintage boutiques per 100,000 city residents. The study looked at 446 cities across 20 countries.
Now, roll back your flannel sleeves because here are the top 10 hipster hotspots, according to the study, of course:
1. Brighton and Hove, U.K.
2. Portland, Oregon
3. Salt Lake City, Utah
4. Seattle, Washington
5. Lisbon, Portugal
6. Fort Lauderdale, Florida
7. Miami, Florida
8. Orlando, Florida
9. Helsinki, Finland
10. Spokane, Washington

And if you're still confused about what exactly a "hipster" is, here's what Merriam-Webster has to say:
"A person who is unusually aware of and interested in new and unconventional patterns (as in jazz or fashion)."
UrbanDictionary.com wasn't as kind.
